Khalilah has a warm and friendly approach that focuses on the importance of the therapeutic relationship and creating a safe space for clients to share their experiences. ![]() Khalilah has worked with a diverse set of populations prior to joining IPG, including at community mental health clinics, with primary school students, and with formerly incarcerated individuals. Her expertise includes working with individuals (children, teens and adults) with depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, work/life issues, and ADHD. Khalilah is Licensed Social Worker who received her Master’s degree in Social Work from Montclair State University and her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of New Haven. Homa views therapy as a collaborative process wherein the relationship is based on working toward a mutual goal while placing emphasis on the importance of an individual’s autonomy. She has experience working in outpatient and inpatient treatment settings, substance use organizations, partial care programs, as well as conducting psychological evaluations in children, adolescents, and adults in order to provide greater diagnostic clarity. Homa is well-versed in implementing other treatment modalities, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Psychodynamic Therapy, in order to provide a comprehensive treatment approach. Her academic and clinical training has been grounded in the use of evidence-based Cognitive Behavioral practices, which focus on the relationship among factors such as thoughts, emotions, and behaviors and how they impact daily functioning. She earned her doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Katherine Homa is a postdoctoral fellow at Insight Psychological Group. He is a member of the American Psychological Association and the New Jersey Psychological Association.ĭr.
